Real Women Have Cellulite (yes, you are normal and beautiful!)

Did you know up to 95% of women have cellulite? So, no need to feel down if you are not one of the 5% who don’t have it (I’m not in that 5% either)!

Can We Reduce The Appearance Of Cellulite?

You can find ads for creams, lotions and machines claiming to get rid of cellulite, but none of those methods are proven to be an effective solution. Don’t waste your money.

However, you MAY be able to reduce the appearance of cellulite by losing body fat & building up the muscle under the fat tissue.

Exercise

Some exercises that may reduce the appearance of cellulite are squats & lunges. Both are helpful for building up muscle and they are good calorie-burning exercises to help drop body fat. Other exercises for the glutes may reduce the appearance of cellulite. Some of my favorites include floor bridges and weighted bridges. An added benefit is that you can perform all these exercises right at home!

Nutrition

Nutrition can be even more important for fat loss and may reduce the appearance of cellulite. Eat enough lean protein, the right carbs and healthy fats. Most important, eat in a caloric deficit so you can burn off the body fat.

But, Always Remember: Your Are Normal and Beautiful (Be the example!)

The biggest take away I want you to keep in mind after reading this is there is NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT BODY.

Who decides what’s “perfect” anyway? That’s an idea of what’s “perfect” is put in place by society, and even those standards change and evolve over time. What was acceptable (and encouraged) as the “perfect female body” 100 years ago is even different from what is encouraged today!

Be the example. And set the example for our daughters and granddaughters. Strive to be the best version of yourself. Don’t fall into the #PerfectionistTrap.

With products like Photoshop (and even phone apps that edit our appearance) as a society we now see illusions daily that people can achieve looks that may be impossible to reach. This mindset feeds into the idea that there is a right way to look, and if you do not fit within those narrow ideals, you must change.

Don’t feed into it. You (and I) are not flawed – we are normal. We are beautiful.

Real women have cellulite. And we are all real women.
